- Amber is a registered occupational therapist who earned her Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy (MScOT) in 2021 from the University of Alberta.
- She focuses on getting people back to the daily activities that are important to them by collaborating on goals, providing education, and focusing on function.
- Amber has experience in working with people with persistent pain, utilizing strategies including education, pacing, graded activity, activity modification, and use of adaptive equipment.
- She utilizes a client-centred approach and recognizes that while she may bring knowledge and clinical expertise, people are the experts on their own lives.
- Amber recognizes the importance of using a holistic approach – considering the whole person. This involves addressing physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual health and well-being.
- Amber has formal training in Graded Motor Imagery (GMI), Trauma Informed Care, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
- She can work with clients to address concerns including chronic pain or disease, sleep disruptions, completing activities of daily living, and return to work, among others.
