GIRI SRINIVASAN

Giri, host of the popular “Ask Giri – Physio Show,” graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree in 1998. He has over 25 years of experience in orthopaedic, sports, and neurological rehabilitation, having worked in various hospitals and private clinics. He further enhanced his qualifications by completing a Post Graduate Diploma in Basic Developmental Therapy for persons with cerebral palsy and other neurological disabilities in 2000, followed by a Post Graduate Diploma in Gerontology and Geriatrics in 2003.

Dedicated to continuous professional development, Giri has completed Advanced Spinal Manipulation courses, Acupuncture certification through the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute, and numerous continuing education courses in orthopaedic and neurological rehabilitation. He also completed a competency-based Vestibular Rehabilitation course through Emory University, Atlanta, and a mini-residency in TMJ and Orofacial Disorders at the University of Minnesota School of Dental Sciences.

Over the years, Giri has obtained a wide range of specialized certifications, including Gunn’s Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS), Bioness H200 and L300 Clinician, WalkAide Clinician, and LSVT BIG Clinician, a specialized neurorehabilitation program for individuals with Parkinson’s disease. He is also certified in Level 1 Functional Movement Screen (FMS) and Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), enabling him to assess movement dysfunction and optimize physical performance.

His additional qualifications include certification as a Rost Therapy Clinician for pelvic girdle pain during and after pregnancy, Pfilates Clinician, Running Specialist, RockTape Fascial Movement Taping Clinician, and Graded Motor Imagery practitioner for chronic pain management and Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS). He is also a Certified Pelvic Floor Therapist and has completed a board-approved postgraduate course in Male Pelvic Pain.

Giri’s expertise further extends to concussion rehabilitation as a Certified Impact Trained Physical Therapist (ITPT), PONS Trainer, GLAD® Back Certified Clinician, Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) Clinician, and Cognitive Functional Therapy practitioner. In addition, he is a Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Certified Golf Clinician, helping golfers improve movement efficiency, performance, and injury prevention.

Giri is also a proud member of the FND Society, reflecting his commitment to staying current with the latest developments in the understanding and treatment of Functional Neurological Disorder (FND).

As a Certified Progressive Goal Attainment Program (PGAP) Provider, Giri combines extensive clinical experience with advanced evidence-based rehabilitation techniques. His broad range of qualifications allows him to provide comprehensive, patient-centred care for musculoskeletal, neurological, vestibular, sports-related, pelvic health, chronic pain, and performance-based conditions.
